UT Library is open Mon-Fri 9-21, Sat-Sun 12-18.

You can register as a library user on the library:

  •  on the web page
  • at the information desk in the lobby of the library.

You can look for the necessary books yourself in the reading rooms and open stacks. The easiest way to find the books is to use the e-catalogue ESTER call number of the book. 

Books can be returned to the circulation counter on the second floor or book return machine on the right side of the main entance of the library.  

You can renew due dates yourself in the My ESTER area of the online catalogue. You can also send the letter with the request to renew due dates to the address laenutus@ut.ee or call on the phone number 737 5772.

Library introduction courses are held for the new students. The list of courses is available on the webpage of UT Library. You can also submit your inquiries about the information search to the address paring@ut.ee or call on the numbers 737 5729 and 737 5780.

You can also search subject literature in the databases https://utlib.ut.ee/andmebaasid.

Interlibrary loan is a service through which library materials not owned by the University of Tartu Library may be requested from other libraries.
