Starting September 22, the music listening evenings initiated two academic years ago by Kadri Voorand, former Professor of Liberal Arts, will continue in the library's music room.

Held on two Tuesdays each month, a composer, singer, musician, or someone closely connected to music selects an album to listen to together. However, the chosen record remains a surprise until the needle drops.

"Listening to music—uninterrupted, not as background noise for moving around or chatting—is pure therapy," said Kadri Voorand. "My idea is that everyone who wants to enjoy this experience can gather at the library, where every featured Tuesday different Estonian musicians pick an album for us to listen to together."

The sessions take place on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM in the 3rd-floor music room. The first album selection of this academic year comes from the library’s music room staff. Subsequent listening sessions will be held on October 6 and 20, November 3 and 17, and December 8.
