From 24 August, the University Library’s Rariora Reading Room for rare books and manuscripts will be open Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 18:00. From 1 September, the Music Room will be open during the library’s regular opening hours.

“Hopefully, the extended opening hours of the Music Room will be welcome news to all music lovers. They should also benefit library users who have struggled to find a quiet place to work when the building is full of students immersed in their studies. There will now be an additional space where visitors can concentrate without interruption. From September, the Music Room will be open for a total of 16 more hours per week than before,” said Jaanika Anderson, Director of the University of Tartu Library.

A library assistant will be available in the Music Room from Monday to Saturday between 12:00 and 18:00. At other times, assistance is available from the library’s other service desks. Items can be borrowed conveniently using the self-service machine.
