Night Library Will Open Already on 2 January

21.12.2018

The traditional Night Library will open its doors for the winter exam session already on the second day of the new year. After several years, the Night Library is again organised with the support of the UT Student Council.

“After a long time, the whole building is again open for the students,” said Olga Einasto, the Head of the UT Library Services Department. “After the opening of the third floor in November, more and more students have found their way to our reading rooms. We hope that they will use this opportunity to prepare for their exams in a quiet learning environment during the Night Library.”

Three reading rooms on the third floor, and the big hall, group rooms and computer workstations on the second floor are all available for the students. Young parents are welcome to study with their kids in the family room.

In the evenings, the library will treat the students to free coffee and cookies at the café Gaudeamus, open until 23 during the workdays of these weeks. The cafe will also have a special menu. Reading dogs from the Estonian Association of Assistance and Therapy Dogs, who have become the students’ favourites, will also visit the Night Library.

The Night Library will be open on 2-17 January from 9.00 until midnight.
