UT library invites to participate in Open Access Week
The UT Library is organizing an Open Access Week from October 23 to 29 to promote and increase the use and publication of open access research information. Throughout the week, various events and initiatives will provide useful information about the opportunities and services related to open science.
Open Access Week has been held in the library since 2010, with the goal of introducing topics related to open science both on-site and online. On Wednesday, October 25, a webinar on "Data Protection Research" will take place online, aimed at researchers, doctoral students, research administrators, librarians, and other interested parties.
Materials about various services, projects, and platforms can be found at the information desk on the library's second floor. Additionally, there is an open science themed board game available to play.
As part of Open Access Week, the collection of academic heritage will take place, encouraging all those who have presented at conferences with research or poster presentations to preserve them in the university's digital archive, DSpace.
Initiated by DataCite Estonia, a newsletter is available, providing researchers with a brief overview of how the libraries of Estonia's major universities can be helpful in meeting open science requirements.
