Pop-up reading rooms are opened with a performance of fire dancers and a big bang

10.10.2016

Dear student UT Library user,

In answer to the wishes of many students and realising their need for a supporting learning environment, the UT Library will open pop-up reading rooms in the former building of the National Archive on Toomemägi (4, J. Liivi Street) on 10 October.

On Monday, 10 October, everybody is welcome to a cheerful opening event in front of the historical building of the National Archive. The event will be launched by the Zerkala Fire Dancers and the opening big bang will be made by the professional troupe of the AHHAA Science Theatre. Librarians will introduce services offered in the reading rooms. The area, all in all 500 square metres, provides spaces suitable both for individual studying and group work with friends and course mates.

Yours sincerely,
UT Library

The UT Library main building will remain closed due to renovation up to at least 12 December. Until that time, the pop-up reading rooms in J. Liivi Street are open on Mon-Fri 9-21 and on Sat-Sun 12-18. Books can still be borrowed and returned only at the library main building via the Akadeemia Street entrance, Mon-Fri 9-19, Sat 12-16.
