Students' photo exhibition SEQUENCES Will Be Opened at UT Library

08.05.2018

On Thursday, 10 May at 5pm, the photo exhibition “SEQUENCES” will be opened at the University of Tartu Library. The exhibition grew out from the students’ works at the lecture series “Wild Aesthetics or How to Describe the Forest to Digital Hares” led by Peeter Laurits, the photo artist and University of Tartu Professor of Liberal Arts.

In the autumn semester, students had to make photo series consisting of five pictures that needed to be somehow connected with each other either by colour, form, composition or motif. During the spring semester, students' photos were re-used to create new photo sequences.

In composing the exhibition, Professor Peeter Laurits, who is the curator of the exhibition, was assisted by Marja-Liisa Plats, Jaanus Siim and Ain Protsin – the students and voluntary listeners of his lecture series.

The exhibition remains open until 22nd June 2018.
Mon-Fri 10–21
Sat-Sun 12–18
in the lobby of the university library conference centre.
