Use our contact-free services in the library

Dear library users! Kindly reminding you that to prevent the spread of the virus, please come to the library only when you feel well, keep your distance from others, and wash and disinfect your hands.

Here is the list of our services that can be used via the Internet, or contact-free in the library:

  • register as a library user on the library web page
  • find the call numbers of the books you need in the e-catalogue ESTER
  • open your My ESTER account to check the due dates of the books you have borrowed, to assess and comment on the books you have read, to follow your reading history, fines, etc.
  • renew the due dates in My ESTER, or call 737 5702, 737 5772, or send e-mail to laenutus@ut.ee    
  • borrow books by using self-checkers (available on each floor of the library) and the Smart Locker, located in the library lobby (only for the books you have reserved)
  • return books to the 24/7 book return machine (at the right side of the library entrance) or to the book return box (in the lobby)
  • use the self-service wardrobe coin lockers
  • ask questions about borrowing, renewal of due dates, fines and different library services by calling 737 5772, 737 5702, or sending e-mail to laenutus@ut.ee
  • find and read special literature and research articles from databases
  • have an access to databases with your PC at home 
  • ask for advice about finding an article or e-book by sending e-mail to libray@ut.ee or calling 737 5729 and 737 5780 (Mon-Fri 9-17)
