UT Library invites to discover the collections in the digital archive
UT Library invites its readers to visit the digital archive DSpace and find materials for studying and research, as well as the collections of general interest. DSpace is a repository for all electronic materials, including e-theses and e-publications, and digitised theses, books, manuscripts and images, etc. At present, it contains more than 80 000 objects.
You can just browse different e-collections in the repository, or use the search engine to find the needed book. Digitised books and other materials are located in the subdivision Books of the UT Library collection. Repository houses also numerous manuscripts, journals and newspapers, as well as an art collection. Modern electronic textbooks and textbooks for visually impaired students form a separate collection.
More than 600 books have been digitised in the course of the project EODOpen project during the last two years. Among them are popular textbooks and literary works by Estonian classics (e.g. F. Tuglas, A. H. Tammsaare, E. Vilde, L. Koidula, F.R. Kreutzwald etc).
Upon request, the library advises and assists UT researchers in storing files in DSpace and offers an opportunity to create personal archives.
