Enlight Rise

The ENLIGHT 'RISE' project (2021-2024) seeked to strengthen the research and innovation dimension of ENLIGHT. The objective was to become more competitive and innovative together, leveraging and synergising our respective strengths and capitalising on our innovation potential as well as the partnerships in our surrounding ecosystems to promote a greener, healthier, more equitable and sustainable Europe. One of the action of the project was to promote Open Science.

Open Science Toolkit was developed within the ENLIGHT RISE project aims to help and support researchers in their work. This toolkit aims to provide essential information for researchers, students, and other people affiliated to ENLIGHT partner universities on open science, with a focus on open access and research data management. The toolkit offers information on the principles of open science and provides guidance on what services and online tools are available locally. The toolkit is built considering the needs of ENLIGHT universities.

On 23 November 2023 the 10 ENLIGHT Rectors endorsed joint Open Science principles which aimed to create a common basis for an Open Science culture. Main elements of the joint statement were the broad promotion of Open Science with training and sharing of good practices, the importance of FAIR data principles, unrestricted Open Access to publications, the support of Open Education materials and Responsible Research Assessment.
