ILL for Tartu University Library users

Interlibrary loan is a service through which library materials not owned by the University of Tartu Library may be requested from other libraries. ILL service is for a fee. For ILL request please fill in the form.

*The price of a copy of a licensed journal article depends on the licensing fee.

ILL books from foreign countries are for in-house use only. Article copies are given out on paper.

Readers are informed about the arrival of requested materials via e-mail or phone. ILL books are kept at the reading room service point on the 3rd floor.

You can pay:

  • via the internal payments system (issued by UT Library);
  • by card payment at all service points of the library;
  • by bank transfer to the account no EE241010002019753006, beneficiary: Tartu Ülikool/ University of Tartu, explanation: RVL;
  • on the basis of the invoice, issued by the library according to the requisites given by the client.

When first coming to pick up the materials, you need to submit the receipt to confirm the payment.

ILL for libraries

We offer the possibility for other libraries to order books and copies of articles for their users from our library. Sending the books and making copies is free of charge, if not otherwise agreed.

NB! It is not possible to order newspapers and large format prints, audio recordings, manuscripts and prints published in manuscript rights (incl. bachelor's and master's theses), geographical maps, reference books and prints which are a part of Estonian libraries' archives and Estica and Baltica collections.
