The exhibition introduces the mission of Johannes Amos Comenius
The exhibition „Education for all – the Legacy of Johannes Amos Comenius to the World“ is open on the second floor of the UT Library.
March 28 marks 430 years since the birth of the Czech scholar Comenius. A wide variety of titles can be used to introduce this man – a teacher, philosopher, theologian, linguist, cartographer, natural scientist. However, he has gone down in history mainly due to his innovative teaching methods earning him a nickname “teacher of nations”. For his entire life, Comenius worked to promote the comprehensive improvement of mankind through education, while emphasizing social justice and peace. Wishing to resolve the same fundamental societal challenges that we still struggle with today, we can clearly see that the Comenius message is still topical today.
The exhibition introducing the philosophy and contribution of Comenius is organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic. It will be open until 24 April.
