Therapy dogs visit the library already on the first day

02.01.2023

Therapy dogs from the Estonian Association of Assistance and Therapy Dogs traditionally visit the night library. The readers can meet the first dogs already today.

"Therapy dogs are an inseparable part of the night library," said the head of the UT Library Service Department Olga Einasto. "Students as well as our employees wait for them , because they bring joy to the library during the exam period." Several dogs are already known to students, but this year a couple of new dogs will be visiting the library. "They have just passed the exam, so are very aware of the stress which usually accompanies the exams," added Einasto.

During the next two weeks the following therapy dogs will visit the library:

Monday, 2 January at 7 p.m. - Labrador retriever Lasse and dog handler Elis Anett; setter and dog handler Mari
Wednesday, 4 January 7 p.m. - Russian Hunting Sighthound Nessie and dog handler Carina; chihuahua Bailey and dog handler Gayla
Monday, 9 January at 7 p.m - golden retriever Relly and dog handler Aive; mongrel Tont and dog handler Kristiina
Wednesday, 11 January 7 p.m - Siberian husky Luna and dog handler Ann; Australian cattle dog Rufus and dog handler Viktoria.

The dogs will be waiting for students in the big hall of the second floor.
