Winter Seminar of Memory Institutions Focuses on the Opening of their Collections
The traditional two-day winter seminar of memory institutions, organised by the UT Library at Kääriku on 19-20 March, will concentrate on the topics of opening up the collections.
Andres Kuusik, the UT Associate Professor of Marketing, will introduce the first day of the seminar with his lecture about how organisations and institutions could today address people and attract their attention. The experience of organising the opening of collections is shared by Mart Lankots from the Design Agency Velvet. After lunch, the Adviser to the Ministry of Justice Kärt Nemvalts, will talk about copyright issues related to the opening of collections. Tõnis Türna from the National Archive will give an overview of the crowdsourcing experience at the Archive. Elena Sipria-Mironov from the UT Library will introduce the new EODOPEN project which engages netizens all over Europe.
On the second day of the seminar, representatives of ministries and memory institutions will talk about innovations and changes in their daily work, share their experience and practices and introduce their new projects.
