How to Get the Maximum from Research Data – Prerequisites and Outcomes

The University of Tartu Library, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Estonian Social Sciences Data Archive (ESTA) will hold the seminar “How to Get the Maximum from Research Data – Prerequisites and Outcomes”. Participants will discuss data reuse, new data protection regulations in Europe, open data for European social sciences, the ethical aspects of data management, and the quality control of the data.

 

The first day of seminar will be conducted entirely in English and will focus on the broad open data issues. On the second day of the seminar participants will be introduced to the data management plans as well as to web solutions by Estonian Social Sciences Data Archive (this part of the seminar will be conducted in Estonian). Afterwards, Irena Vipavc Brvar and Veerle Van den Eynden will hold workshops discussing data usage and data management.
