UT Library starts vlogging
The first episode of the UT Library vlog was launched today. New entries will appear every two weeks, aiming to provide information about everything that is going on in the library – its daily life, services, and also renovation news.
“As most of our building is at present closed to the users, many people have asked me what we are doing here altogether,” said Martin Hallik, Director of the UT Library. “The vlog is a perfect opportunity to show our daily work.” Video diary episodes will inform and remind the users about library services and events as well as give updates on the renovation progress.
The first vlog episode offers an overview of the present situation in the library building. “We had no doubts regarding the first episode. It was obvious that we have to show our library interior and how the librarians are carrying on their everyday work there,” said Hallik. “I and my colleagues have received a lot of questions about the renovation. Thus we invite people to a small tour inside the library.”
Both librarians and library visitors will participate in the vlogs. “Already in the second episode you will see a person who is famous in Tartu, but does not work at the library,” disclosed Hallik. Students and lecturers will also participate in the next episodes.
