The Library is closed from 14 March until the end of the emergency situation declared by the Government

In connection with the emergency situation in Estonia, declared by the Government with the aim of preventing the further spread of the coronavirus, the University of Tartu Library is closed from 14 March until 01 May.  

Access to all e-databases is guaranteed. All e-courses will proceed as usual, information enquiries are answered and, in case of need and if possible, digitising service is offered. Also, books can be purchased from the library's e-shop and the virtual exhibition of new books is compiled.

The library will start lending books from 25 March. Please read the instructions, how to borrow books in the emergency situation.  

During this period, no books can be returned. Fines for not meeting the due dates for the books that should have been returned starting from tomorrow until 01 May will be cancelled. The dues dates are automatically renewed until 4 May. The Interlibrary Loans service cannot be used during the emergency situation period.

Based on the developing situation and needs, UT Library may change the closing period and adjust the services offered. All news will be communicated on the library’s webpage as well as in Facebook.
