Library's homepage will be updated

The university library's updated website will be launched on 25 November. The new site follows the visual design of the university's main website, making its structure familiar to users.

"The new website is more modern and engaging in form, and we have also tried to present the content as clearly and concisely as possible," said Herdis Olmaru, the Communications Manager of UT library. "For the homepage, we focused on user needs: databases, which are frequently searched on our site, are now visible right from the main view. I believe users will have no trouble finding other information either." In addition to content and design, the website's security requirements have also been updated.

According to Reimo Rehkli, the web editor-in-chief at the university's marketing and communications office, the university's website updates are now complete with the launch of the library's homepage. "The library required certain special solutions, so it took a bit more time than other websites," said Rehkli. "However, the longer transition period was undoubtedly necessary to ensure that the library has a properly functioning website that is convenient to use."

The old library website will be replaced by the new one at 11 AM on 25 November, with the address remaining utlib.ut.ee.
