Exhibition of Estonian diaspora record covers

On the 3rd floor of the library, you can view Andres Karro's exhibition of Estonian diaspora record covers. The vinyl records, collected over decades, come from England, America, Sweden, Canada, Australia, and Estonia.

'Estonian diaspora records hold a special place in my collection because I’ve had to put in considerably more effort to acquire them,' said music enthusiast Andres Karro. According to him, it was necessary to have contacts to get them, and sometimes it was just luck. 'For me, every Estonian diaspora record symbolizes a chapter from the past, with its joys and sorrows,' the collector added.

The exhibition was first displayed at the beginning of this year in Viljandi Library, and now it has arrived at the University of Tartu Library as part of the 10th Psychodisco Conference 'At Home and Abroad.' This exciting display, featuring records from both well-known and lesser-known musicians, can be viewed until October 18.
