Morning and night library welcome students

Together with the Student Council, UT Library will organize the Morning Library from April 22nd to 26th, where students are welcome to study starting from 6 a.m. On May 20th, the Night Library will commence, with the building open until midnight on working days for three weeks.

"We organized the Morning Library for the first time last autumn," said Olga Einasto, head of the library's service department. "Initially, we weren't sure how many visitors to expect, but the number of students coming to study early in the morning grew each day, and the feedback given to the Student Council was very positive."

This time there is a hope that even more students will need the Morning Library because it is the time when thesis papers are completed. "The early morning hours are ideal for immersing oneself in writing in a quiet and peaceful environment," Einasto highlighted as an advantage of the Morning Library.

The second half of May is the period of exams, so the library will be open from Mondays till Fridays until midnight, starting from May 20th. "The Night Library almost does not need advertising," admitted Einasto. "We have had this tradition for over twenty years and will certainly continue to do so because those three weeks are a final sprint for students. In this way, we help them to prepare for exams without worries." She added that the therapy dogs will also be present this year, and other activities are planned together with the Student Council.

The Night Library will run from May 20th to June 7th.
