Starting June 25, the library will switch to its summer schedule, which will remain in effect until August 23. During this period, the library will be open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on weekends. Books can be returned 24/7 using the return machine located in the exterior wall of the library building.

“We have received feedback from our readers that the library could open a bit earlier during the summer months than in previous years,” said Jaanika Anderson, Director of the University of Tartu Library. “We are happy to respond to the wishes of many visitors who want to study or do research already in the morning, and therefore the library will open at 10 a.m. on weekdays.”

Several exhibitions can also be visited at the library during the summer. Until the end of June, the exhibition “Illustrative Curves: 70 Years of the Book Design Competition in Estonia” is on display in the large hall on the second floor. The exhibition hall features the exhibition “How to Rule the World.” On June 3, the traditional annual exhibition of the Konrad Mägi Atelier will open in the conference centre area and will remain open until the end of August.
